We visited the Tread Lightly caravan today.  Before the visit, we read Dr.Seuss' The Lorax and discussed how to reduce human over-consumption of our natural resources.

Tread Lightly teaches us why and how to reduce our carbon footprint on the Earth.

We are learning that different electrical appliances consume different  amount of  energy.  We need to  use the most  energy efficient equipment.

Mr Judd from Tread Lightly is helping us to find out how many earths we would need  if  we continue to live  as  we are living today.  Even the most eco-friendly family would need 2.8 earths.  That's shocking!

We are pondering what actions we should take at school and at our home.

We will use at least one idea from today's lesson to make the earth last longer!
